Microsoft released Edge version 157.0.4341.42 on November 5, 2026. Microsoft says this update includes the latest security fixes from the shared browser code that Edge uses. Microsoft has not posted the list of fixes yet. Edge updates itself, but the new version starts only after you close Edge and open it again.

Microsoft's Edge note does not say any of these fixes are being used in attacks. Severity: Microsoft's November 5, 2026 Edge note does not publish its own score. It says this stable update includes the latest Chromium security updates, and Chrome's November 3, 2026 notes rate seven of the Chromium 157 fixes Critical. First reported .

- Open Edge.
- Click the three dots at the top right, then Help and feedback, then About Microsoft Edge.
- Wait while Edge gets the update.
- Click Restart.
- Check that the version number is 157.0.4341.42 or higher.
